The CT-DEP is putting more effort into UST compliance enforcement, so it’s a good idea to see if you’re in compliance. Even if they don’t sock you with a fine, if they issue a Notice of Violation it’ll end up costing you good money – you’ll need to hire a consultant and respond, rapidly, at greater than normal labor rates. We’ll check your operation to see if you’re in compliance – and we’ll spell out what you need to do to get into compliance, if you’re not already.

UST Reimbursement

In addition to filling in the application, we can provide the LEP seal which is also required to be affixed to it. We understand how to write the application so as to maximize your chances of a stress-free reimbursement. UST Closures

Underground Storage Tank (UST) closures allow many property owners/operators, through inexperience, to make a penny wise - pound foolish mistake. If you don’t document the closure and support it with analytical data, you may have to show at a later date that the closure was clean - of course, at a significantly greater cost and annoyance. (The CT-DEP has recently informed some UST owners that they’ll need to obtain soil samples from the USTs removed years ago, in order to close the USTs…)
